BW Disrupt, an initiative by BW Businessworld that covers all the daily news, views, and insights on the Indian Startup Ecosystem, has launched a special issue, ‘The Disruptors’, featuring 20 entrepreneurs who shared their valuable stories of success.
The Special Issue was launched on Friday, September 15, 2017, with over 80 Entrepreneurs at the Metropolitan Hotel in Delhi.
During the opening remarks, Anurag Batra, Chairman & Editor in Chief, BW Businessworld welcomed the attendees and also introduced Shivjeet Kullar, Founder, adytude.com and BVR Mohan Reddy, Founder & Chief Executive Director, Cyient and Former Chairman of Nasscom.
Anurag Batra said, “Disruptors is a new initiative by BW Disrupt. This special issue features the best and uniquely defined founders – we like to call them disruptors of the present and future. There is a disruption happening everyday even in the way people think. Technology coming in is disrupting but the value of connection will be go up even more. If you build businesses around human interaction, that will be more valuable than technology.”
After Anurag, Shivjeet Kullar shared his kind words about Entrepreneurship & Disruption. He added, “I feel that basically the entrepreneurship is like walking on a tightrope without a safety net. Entrepreneurs are meant to create disruption and its disruption because of that they get noticed and that’s why entrepreneurship and disruption go together.”
Taking the discussion forward, BVR Mohan Reddy took the stage and said, “First of all I want to congratulate Mr. Anurag Batra for the lunch of this special issue ‘The Disruptors’. Disruption is at this point of time is driven by technology. For me ‘Challenging the Status Quo is a disruption’. There is a huge opportunity in front of us today, only we need to learn. Learning has to be continuous, learning has to be just in time. We have to learn continuously and here is technology again playing an important role. If you want to see disruptors coming in, constantly challenge the status quo because disruption is all about change. Your mindset has to change, you need to think more in terms of exponentially. Also we need to have entrepreneurial thinking like what he/she does. And I think India has the potential to become a global innovation hub.”
Then Anurag Batra and BVR Mohan Reddy Joined the stage to felicitate the disruptors and unveiled the special issue.
